Year 1 Memory Book Ideas
This blog is for you to put in any ideas from your year at school. Keep looking at the blog throughout the week for new ideas.
Information you might add can include, teachers, first day of school, excursions, school events, friends, memorable moments etc.
In my Year One class I had made so many new friends, Ethan, Liam, Luke, Tom and Toby and I still had my friend Lawrence. Our teacher was Miss. Audley, she used to always sing and make up songs.
In Year One my favorite Memory was my very first school concert, “Just add Hope”. I believe it was so much fun and definitely well created. My act was the skipping rope scene.
I also remember Italian Day, I got dressed up as a Roman Soldier, my Dad made me as awesome helmet out of paper mache. I was a part of book week, I dressed up as Biggles, my dad used to read the book to me. It was about a man from England who joined the air force. It was great.
By the end of Year One I had definitely grown into my school uniform.

I didn’t have too many new friends, but everyone was a bit more familiar. I can remember my first school concert, I was so excited in the build up, and when it came to show night I was very nervous. I can also remember that I had no front teeth, I looked like a collingwood supporter the whole year! I remember that for book week I dressed up as where’s wally. I had a striped red shirt, jeans, a stripped red beanie and the 3d glasses you get at the movies. Mrs scarcella was my teacher, she was italian so whenever she was talking to another teacher and she didn’t want us to hear what she was saying, she would speak to them in italian. I got annoyed because I couldn’t listen to what they were saying. This was also the first year I started basketball and auskick. That gave me the opportunity to meet a couple new people and catch up with a couple school friends.
In Grade One I was excited to get to work with a new bunch of classmates. My teacher was Mrs Monty who was very kind to me. I meat the year twos and became close friends with some of them in my class. I didn’t make to many new friends but I knew alot more people compared to the start of prep. My friends where Kate Evans, Tayla Driver, Lucy Bartlett and Lexie Crain.
My buddy was Sarah Smith. I remember at buddy’s Sarah and I read a book together on the carpet in the one two area. In grade one I went on a school excursion to Scienceworks. I remember walking in and running to the first thing I saw and playing with it.
I remember Italian day where I got to dress up as some sort of Italian thing of your own choose. Overall grade one was an action packed year for me and I enjoyed it very much.
